Pippa Letchford

My name is Pippa Letchford, and I am a third-year Media Production student at Nottingham Trent University. Throughout these three years, I have undertaken a variety of modules, including work experience, client-led projects, and documentary production, all of which have allowed me to develop and refine my skills as a creator.
During my placement, I worked in a marketing role at Royal Ascot Racecourse, producing multiple social media videos to engage audiences and promote events. This experience allowed me to develop practical skills in content creation, storytelling, and working within a professional brand identity. It also strengthened my ability to collaborate within a team and create media that meets both creative and commercial objectives.
Throughout my degree, I have become particularly confident in videography, especially through my work in documentary and short film production. These projects allowed me to experiment with visual storytelling, camera techniques, and narrative structure, helping me develop a stronger creative voice behind the camera. Alongside this, I have also developed growing confidence in post-production editing, particularly in Adobe Premiere Pro, where I have refined my ability to structure narratives, pace edits effectively, and enhance visual storytelling.
