My name is Jamillah Wells, and I am a media creator with a strong passion for sports content production, specialising in directing, camera operation, and social media video creation. Through my media course, I have developed the ability to lead creative projects while collaborating within a production team confidently. I take pride in being a strong director who can communicate ideas clearly, identify when something isn’t working, and confidently speak up to improve the outcome.
My work focuses heavily on football media, combining storytelling with modern digital trends to create engaging and relevant content for online audiences. I actively keep up with current social media styles and production techniques to ensure my work connects with contemporary viewers and reflects the fast-paced nature of sports media.
During my studies, I have had the opportunity to work with professional organisations and real clients, including Nottingham Forest Football Club, Footie Fusion, and the DH Lawrence Museum. Projects I am particularly proud of include creating social media content for the DH Lawrence Museum and filming and editing promotional content for live events. These experiences strengthened my technical skills in filming, editing, and production planning while developing my confidence working in professional environments.
My future goal is to build a career in sports media, creating high-quality social media videos that capture the energy, emotion, and culture of football. I aim to continue developing my directing and production skills while contributing creative and engaging content to the sports industry.
