Hello, my name is Ellie Kirby and I’m an up-and-coming content creator who has been developing my media skills at university where I’ve had experience working on shorty films, documentaries and a wide variety of social media. Over time on my media production course, I have learned many new skills that will help me transfer to the media world such as being organised with production files, taking creative lead on visuals and having a keen eye when being a camera operator.
This course has given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of external clients which made me take a new look at ow I conduct myself with professional companies. Some of these clients have been the D.H Lawrence Museum, Harmless Conference and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue. This has given me the chance to work on my social media skills and learnt what stands out on the internet to get the most traction.
In my future career I want to expand into the marketing world and make content for a brand. Which will then reach a wide range of people and help the business make a stand in the world and be successful in their market and this will be achievable for me because of this time and university.
